DIY HAIR MASK AND TIPS FOR THIS NAVRATRI AND DURGA PUJA 2019

With different looks and outfits, we love trying out different hairstyles as well. If our hair looks manageable and healthy, it boosts our confidence. To make the hair silky, soft and manageable, we need to take proper care of it. I am sharing some wonderful hair masks and tips that will make the hair beautiful. We can not change our hair texture completely in a few days but these remedies will provide the scalp with enough nourishment that our hair problems will be less.

OILING:- Oiling is a must in any hair care routine. If we oil our hair properly, it will make our scalp healthy and hair strong. We can choose any oil that we prefer. I have already shared a few DIY oil recipes or you can use any oil available in the market.


HOW TO OIL THE HAIR:-

  • In a bowl, take the required amount of oil and very gently apply it to your scalp and hair length. Massage your scalp for 5-10 minutes so that it can increase the blood flow.
  • You can keep it overnight or for 2-3 hours. You can also try hot towel therapy by dipping a towel into warm water and squeezing the excess water. Then wrap that towel around your hair for 5-10 minutes. It will open up the pores and helps in penetrating the oil deeply. Just make sure not to burn yourself. If you are unsure just skip it or take someone's help.
  • Finally, wash your hair using a mild shampoo and apply a conditioner. 
  • If you have an oily scalp, you can oil only once a week. 
  • Dry and normal scalp people can oil 2-3 times a week.



HAIR MASK

DEEP CONDITIONING HAIR MASK:-

  • Take 3 tablespoons of amla powder, 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil, 1 tablespoon of castor oil, and 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt. 
  • Mix all the ingredients very well. 
  • Apply this mask on your hair and scalp generously. 
  • Now, wear a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes. 
  • Use a  mild shampoo to rinse it off. Apply a conditioner of your choice.  
  • It can be done twice a week.



HAIR MASK FOR STRONG HAIR:- 

  • Take  2 tablespoons of neem powder, 1 tablespoon of brahmi powder and 1 tablespoon of basil powder. Now add 2-3 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of yoghurt. 
  • Mix well. 
  • Apply this on the scalp and hair for 30 minutes. 
  • After that, shampoo and condition the hair like you normally do. 
  • It can be done once a week.



ANTI DANDRUFF HAIR MASK:-

  • Take 3-4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, 1 tablespoon of neem powder, squeeze half a lemon and 1 teaspoon of raw honey into it. 
  • Mix well. 
  • Apply this mask on the scalp properly and wait for 40-45 minutes. 
  • After that, shampoo your hair, followed by a conditioner. 
  • You can do this twice a week.


HAIR MASK FOR SILKY AND SOFT HAIR:- 
  • Take 3-4 tablespoons of raw milk, one ripe banana and 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seed powder and 2 tablespoons of multani mitti or fuller's earth. 
  • Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth paste. 
  • Apply this on the scalp and focus mainly on the hair length. 
  • Now, wear a shower cap and keep it on for 45 minutes. 
  • Lastly, shampoo and condition your hair. 
  • It can be done twice a week.


TIPS:- 
  1. Always use normal or cold water to rinse your hair as warm water can dry the hair even more. 
  2. Use an old cotton tee shirt as a towel as it will make the hair less frizzy. 
  3. Never comb wet hair as it will break the hair even more. Wet hair is easily breakable. 
  4. Try to let your hair air dry rather than blow-drying it. If you have to use a drier set it in the cool setting.
  5. Try to use less hair styling tools.
